During the planning stage of the Early Childhood Education and Family Center at 2879 Johnstown Road and its subsequent opening in 2001, the Columbus City Schools' Department of Early Childhood Education has been a member of this unique partnership. Being a part of this state-of-the-art early childhood and family center has afforded Columbus City Schools’ Early Childhood Education Program the opportunity to work with local, county and state agencies in providing a one-stop, full-shop early childhood education and family center for the Columbus community. Columbus City Schools' component of this partnership includes Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classes. This partnership is considered another arm and a valuable resource for Columbus City Schools' Early Childhood Education Programs.
